There is a massive difference between hiring a pile of props and actually having your wedding styled.

When Rebecca and Chris came to us for their day at River Mills Ballroom in Selby, they weren't looking to fill a room with random "wedding" stuff.

They were looking for a finished, high-impact aesthetic that held together from the moment the first guest walked in to the last song of the night.

They wanted a shit tonne of disco balls, and they wanted it to feel like them. That’s where we come in.

Why "Hiring Decor" Doesn't Cut It

A lot of couples fall into the trap of thinking they can just source a bunch of individual items.

Some napkins here, a few candles there; and DIY their way to a "vibe."

But here is the reality: that’s a one-way ticket to a stressful morning spent setting up tables instead of getting ready, and a final look that feels disjointed and cheap.

When you hire a stylist, you aren't just paying for the stuff. You’re paying for the 1000% cohesion.

For Rebecca and Chris, we didn't just dump a few items on a table. We designed the entire visual language of the day.

We anchored the space with deep burgundy tablecloths, layering in electric pops of hot pink and orange napkins. We carried that palette into the candle light, adding in vibrant yellow—Rebecca’s favourite colour—to make the whole room pop.

Everything was intentional. Everything was polished.

The Alternative Wedding Stylist Advantage: Zero Stress, Pure Execution

Rebecca had a clear vision, including designing her own stationery, but she didn't want to spend her months leading up to the wedding stressing over where to store things or how to make the floral elements actually work with the room.

That’s our job and why Rebecca hired an Alternative Wedding Stylist!

We brought in Poppy Fare to nail the floral brief, and we took care of the storage, the logistics, and the installation.

We were there managing the dessert table, hunting down the right confetti, and ensuring that by the time Rebecca and Chris walked into that ballroom, the only thing left for them to do was celebrate.

We didn't just supply the backdrop; we created an environment.

The Only Ones Who Do It Like This

We are the antidote to the "bits and pieces" approach. We’re the ones to talk to if you want the design to feel like a high-end, cohesive wedding, not a collection of items you found online.

If you want the disco balls, the grit, and the unapologetic style—without the stress of trying to manage the install yourself—let's talk. We specialise in the alternative, the bold, and the perfectly curated.

Our 2027 and 2028 diaries are open. If you’re ready to stop collecting props and start styling a wedding, get in touch!
