Our Brand Mythology: WHAT THE FUCK DO WE STAND FOR?

I've been doing a lot fear facing lately.
I find putting myself out there massively difficult. It's being vulnerable - it's that gut feeling of people eye rolling me. I'm sure you feel it too.
But since winning the awards, I've decided to say FUCK THAT.
I am going to take up some space in this industry.
So here is a little bit behind why I decided to create Un-Traditional and yeah, I hope you resonate with it.

"I didn’t start this business because I wanted to be a wedding professional.
I started this business because I was a bride who had been lied to.
I wanted a wedding that felt like myself and my partner. Not whatever Pinterest kept throwing at me when I searched for moody weddings - why was I getting a sea of beige, "light and airy" monotony? I was being told, repeatedly, that this was all I was allowed.
I tried to help find a supplier, a stylist, who could bring the vision I had in my head alive, to bring all the decor with them, so I could travel up to Scotland and just turn up.
But. When I tried to find someone who understood me, I hit a wall.
The industry was obsessed with the traditional. The sage green, "oh god you can't have black at a wedding! "
I realised then that to me, 'traditional' was just code for "boring."
So, I did what I always do: I took control. I didn’t just hire someone to do a job; I became the stylist I couldn't find. I sourced the pieces, I obsessed over the placement, and I created the guest tablescape plan that actually had a slight edge.
I did it all myself, and in doing so, I realised my real skill isn't in following the template, it’s in creating a look that demands attention; that screams personality.
The venue teams saw my talent, my guests saw it and my best mate Rosie saw it too, and we decided that if the industry wasn't going to give people the space to be bold, we’d build it ourselves.
I’m tired of hearing people walk past my work and whisper, "Oh, this would be great for a birthday party."
It’s ignorant, it’s lazy, and it’s exactly why I’m here.
If they can’t see how black velvet, or checkerboard, or neon signage define a modern, luxury wedding aesthetic, they’re just not looking closely enough, or being open minded enough.
My brand isn't about fitting into the "wedding" box for those nearlyweds who want a budget friendly experience, Where you'll have so many items for xamount of guests, for xprice.
Un-Traditional is about learning about you both as a couple, and designing your wedding decor around what you love and the vibe you want to create.
It’s about bringing that high-contrast, edgy, "editorial" energy into a venue and turning it into something that feels real.
I built Un-Traditional Wedding Stylists to be the world I couldn't find when it was my turn to walk down the aisle.
I’m not here to manage your whole wedding day; I’m here to design and
style your venue into a space that reflects your actual personality. You deserve a look that is unapologetically, fearlessly, and uniquely you on one of the best days of your life."
